Paul & Nicks Big (American) Food Trip

Two years ago, while I was doing some genealogical research on my family at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania; I was contacted by a producer of a television program that airs in Scotland and Ireland called Paul & Nicks Big Food Trip. The show tracks the adventures of popular Chefs Paul Rankin and Nick Nairn in Scotland and Ireland. The producer of the show informed me that they were going to be branching out and tracing the Ancestry and lives of (Ulster Scotts) Scotch Irish descendants that came from Scotland to Northern Ireland and then to the United States. A friend of mine at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania knowing my family ancestry recommend that they interview me. I was contacted by a wonderful woman named Clair who wanted to know if I would be interested in being interviewed for the show. At first, I must admit that I was somewhat reluctant but I decided what the heck. I met with Clair at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania and had to prove to her my direct descent from HRH Robert “the Bruce” King of Scotland as well as my descents from the Kings of England and France. Using the collections housed at HSP (the Historical Society of Pennsylvania) I was easily able to prove my Royal linage to her satisfaction. She then offered me a spot on the show and the rest is history.

Here are my excerpts from the program. I now know what Actors and Actresses are talking about when they say that the camera adds “ten pounds” to them…lol I am just glad that they did not try and cook me….
